Why do people prefer referring to their Freeskate level rather than MIF?

I’ve seen a lot of people refer to their FS level when I ask about how far they’ve come in MIF and the like. I understand that you can’t pass a FS level without having passed the mif, but you can pass more MIF levels than you have FS, so what’s the deal if the leveling between your FS and MIF is leveled? Is it more of a proud accomplishment for them (which I tooootally get) so they would rather mention their FS level which would correspond with their MIF anyway?
